Dudley, a young male llama,
lives with his people family near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, along with his
llama brother, Sammy, a wise old German Shepherd dog, Annie, and two pesky
cats. Like most young male llamas, Dudley has a bit of an attitude
about everything, and he shares that attitude with us as he tells us all about
his life as a family pet and a packer in the Rocky Mountains. Unlike his
goody-two-shoes brother, Sammy, Dudley is mischievous and often
gets into trouble. But underneath it all, he has a good heart and learns some
valuable lessons about life -- about giving and caring and taking care of those
you love, and about tolerance and respect of neighbor.
Touching at times, hilarious
at others, youll learn to like this funny fellow as he struggles with and
deals with all that life has to offer him. Although the reading level is 8-12
years, 84 illustrations make this a good book for the whole family to read
together. Youll learn all the important facts about llamas, while at the
same time, some valuable life lessons having to do with character virtues.
