STOP SPITTING AT YOUR BROTHER!
Life Lessons of a Rocky Mountain Llama
by Diane White-Crane

"...Because the story is written as if told by Dudley-the-Llama, it has major appeal to the imagination of youth. Because it is charming and often silly, it will be enjoyed by adults with a sense of wonder and faith that animals do reason, chat with one another and muse about what goes on in the world around them."
Francie Greth-Peto, LLAMAS Magazine, Dec. '96

"...I would recommend this book to anyone--kids and grown-ups, people who have llamas and people who don't. Dudley tells all about llamas in his stories, so people can learn about llamas, too! I'd like to tell you more, but I would rather have you read the book!"
Nicholas Balliet (age 8) LLAMAS Magazine, Dec. '96

Dudley, a young male llama, lives with his people family near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, along with his llama brother, Sammy, a wise old German Shepherd dog, Annie, and two pesky cats. Like most young male llamas, Dudley has a bit of an “attitude” about everything, and he shares that attitude with us as he tells us all about his life as a family pet and a packer in the Rocky Mountains. Unlike his “goody-two-shoes” brother, Sammy, Dudley is mischievous and often gets into trouble. But underneath it all, he has a good heart and learns some valuable lessons about life -- about giving and caring and taking care of those you love, and about tolerance and respect of neighbor.

Touching at times, hilarious at others, you’ll learn to like this funny fellow as he struggles with and deals with all that life has to offer him. Although the reading level is 8-12 years, 84 illustrations make this a good book for the whole family to read together. You’ll learn all the important facts about llamas, while at the same time, some valuable life lessons having to do with character virtues.

"Besides being informative about llamas, STOP SPITTING AT YOUR BROTHER! is good for many laughs. The reader is led through Dudley's pack-animal life in Colorado. His spunk leads him into all sorts of great discoveries and big trouble for him and his brother, Sammy. For a rollickingly fun and educational book, this is the one to read!"
by Anne Henchowicz, Daybreak Magazine, April '98

From a Barnes & Nobel Events review: Aurora, CO April '97:
"...The book is called STOP SPITTING AT YOUR BROTHER!, and it charms young and old alike!"
