Nominated for a WAMMIE award, “Best Children’s Recording 1999”, by the Washington (D.C.) Area Music Association.

Each CD and cassette has all the lyrics printed on the J-cards. I wanted to make sure the children who listened to my music could also easily learn the words and sing along. Several of the songs have children singing along with me, and their voices were quite a delightful addition, I think. The children in the schools LOVE the parts where they can sing along, and the lyrics are clear and easy to learn.

The gentleman who produced the album for me is singer/songwriter Bill Danoff. He wrote many of John Denver's hits, including "Take Me Home Country Roads." Bill also sings on some of the cuts with me. He was a member of the famous '70's group, "The Starland Vocal Band," and he wrote their great mega-hit: "Afternoon Delight." Jon Carroll, the other male member of the Starland Vocal Band, does the keyboarding and also sings backup on several songs. Jon does much of Mary Chapin Carpenter's keyboard and arranging, among other things. Pete and Maura Kennedy provide guitar and vocal backup--they have traveled with and recorded with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Nancy Griffith, etc., and now they are very well known for their own music. Ira Gitlin, who plays banjo parts, won a national banjo contest a few years ago. So I was very lucky to have some amazing talent to back me up. We had great fun recording it, and I think I turned them ALL into llama lovers!
